あらすじ・解説
It's not about politics, it's about people. America today has become divided more than it has ever been since the American Civil War. Now we are engaged in a new civil war - not one of cannons and bayonets, but of words and ideology.
In 2020, America experienced a global pandemic (COVID-19) and civil unrest in our streets where racial tensions reached a fever pitch, all during an Election Year. Everything has become political; everything we see on television and through social media platforms has been designed to further this divide between the two major political ideologies in this country. And while we are too busy fighting each other, the ruling class of politicians, special interest groups, and lobbyists, continue to assume even greater power and influence over the lives of we the people. Their best interests do not represent our best interests. We can either assume that these ruling elites will take care of us, or we can decide to take care of one another.
We live in a society where there is a consistent pattern of: our government creates a problem, our government promises to solve the problem, the government breaks their promise, and yet we continue to keep electing the same politicians into office each election cycle. The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over and expect different results; perhaps it is time to try something new in America. We need to start prioritizing individuals, family, friends, and our local communities to lead positive change in this country, before our government ever needs to get involved. We need everyday citizens, particularly the younger generations (Millennials and Gen Zs) to pay attention to what's really important for our future; we should care more about our individual and national sovereignty than how many "likes" we receive on our social media accounts. There are some in America who would also believe that more government is needed in these times of great uncertainty, but bigger government is never the answer.
America is a great nation. It has always been a great nation. And it has always been great because of us, you and me, #WeThePeople.
