In the first episode of the LIFE, MONEY and FOOTBALL podcast, I sat down with Tristan Cooper, a coach's son, Tulane University football player and now a successful financial advisor.
Tristan takes us through his life's journey from growing up inside the locker rooms of the biggest college football programs and watching his dad coach the likes of Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu. Playing with and against some of the biggest names in professional football like Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry. Pursuing his dream of playing in the NFL at Tulane University, realizing that was not going to happen and turning his experience into a successful career as a financial advisor serving college football coaches across the country.
Along the way, you we touch on topics like:
- What it was like to have a high-profile coach as a father and moving from state to state as his dad's career progressed.
- College football recruiting process/experience and how Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) has changed all of it.
