Laurent Dupuch, CEO & Country Manager for Ukraine at BNP Paribas and Chairman of the Management Board UKRSIBBANK

Laurent Dupuch took over the UKRSIBBANK BNP Paribas Group team as Chairman of the Management Board in 2020.

He started his career in the BNP Paribas group in 1993 and has a wealth of experience in various countries and various fields of banking. Laurent was the head of the Morocco region of the BNP Paribas Group and the head of BMCI bank and he was head of the Algeria operations of BNP Paribas since January 2008. He was a member of the supervisory board of UKRSIBBANK and worked on integrating the bank into an international group in 2006-2007.

BNP Paribas Group, which is one of the shareholders of JSC UKRSIBBANK started the process of reducing activities in Russia a long time before the beginning of the events of February. Since 2012, activity in the retail business has been reducing. In 2020, consumer lending was completely stopped. Thus, BNP Paribas was among the least active foreign banking institutions represented in russia.

BNP Paribas values ​​its reputation, supports Ukraine, strongly condemns the invasion by russia, and strictly adheres to all international sanctions. Also, BNP Paribas does not start any new business with russia. In particular, BNP Paribas notified corporate clients that its subsidiary BNP Paribas ZAO will not process client transactions from the end of March 2022.

UKRSIBBANK & TEAM4UA PARTNERSHIP

This charity initiative started in the summer. During our meetings with clients in 14 cities of Ukraine, together with Team4UA, we organized fundraising for humanitarian aid. The project continues even now. Thanks to our customers, we managed to raise more than 500,000 hryvnias through the #UKRSIBonline application.

These funds were directed to humanitarian aid on the territory of Ukraine. In December, the Foundation delivered 140,000 food kits in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.
