In John 17:15-16, Christ is praying for those who are in the strength of life who get discouraged about a matter, and think, "I want out of here. I know I will go to heaven and be with the Lord. I would just like to go on." Our Lord Jesus would not pray for that because we need laborers for the Lord's work. He is praying for God the Father to keep us from the evil so that we can minister to others around us.
