Welcome to Modern Mortality, my name is Matt Boulos. This is the podcast where we talk to experts across fields to examine how they relate to mortality.

Kimberly Paul: She is currently in graduate school for social work at the University of Kentucky. She worked with Lower Cap Fear Hospice in Wilmington, North Carolina for over 17 years. This led her to loading up an RV and traveling the country to talk with people and communities about the dying stage of life. Kimberly’s experience with hospice and watching the system take away resources for those in need fed a frustration that she has found herself in graduate school with the hopes of ultimately writing and changing healthcare policy in America. Welcome, Kimberly. Thanks for being here.
