このコンテンツについて
In this episode, Alex interviews writer and director Jake Wachtel about his new short film, The Sentry.
The action-comedy follows a suave Western super-spy on assignment in Cambodia, when a haunting encounter with a garrulous guard forces him to confront the deeper consequences of his actions on the local community. Offering a fresh take on the spy genre, The Sentry deconstructs familiar tropes while highlighting the often overlooked perspectives of human beings that are caught in systems larger than themselves.
The film is currently in the midst of its festival run, and may be at a festival near you soon! We will include a link to it in the show notes once it becomes publicly available. As always, I hope you find the insights into the filmmaking process both fascinating and valuable.
