Welcome to Modern Mortality, my name is Matt Boulos. This is the podcast where we talk to experts across fields to examine how they relate to mortality.
Laurence Shames is an American author. He studied at NYU. He worked in magazines early on, including the Ethics column for Esquire. Larry has written an established series of novels set in Key West, and wrote the memoir of a media executive in 2004, titled Not Fade Away. Today, Larry will talk to us about his life’s experiences and dive into what it was like to write a memoir for someone with a terminal diagnosis.
