このコンテンツについて
Jamie Valvano is the daughter of the legendary Jim Valvano, or “Jimmy V”—the beloved late college basketball coach, sports broadcaster, and founder of the V Foundation, which he established with ESPN before his passing.
Jamie inherited the BRCA2 genetic mutation that led to her breast cancer diagnosis, which she would learn was related to her father’s adenocarcinoma and other cancer cases in their family.
Thanks to the cancer research her father fought so passionately for when founding the V Foundation, Jamie celebrates 20 years cancer-free this year. A wife and mom, in this episode, Jamie shares her personal story and how her father’s vision gave her a literal game plan for survival.
