このコンテンツについて
Lily and Jack Sullivan, ages 6 and 4, have been missing since approximately 10:00 AM on Friday, May 2nd, from their home on Gairloch Road in Lansdowne Station, a remote area near Pictou, Nova Scotia.
The children were last seen at home, reportedly playing in another room while their mother, Maleyah, and stepfather, Daniel Martell, were in the bedroom with their 1 Year old baby. Daniel believes Lily and Jack opened a sliding door and left the fenced backyard, possibly wandering into the surrounding forest.
Key Details:
Lily (6): Shoulder length light brown hair with bangs. Wearing all pink. May have a white backpack with strawberries on it.
Jack (4): Short blondish hair. May be wearing blue dinosaur boots. May be wearing a pull-up diaper.
Neither child was in school the entire week.
Lily attends Primary and Jack attends Pre-Primary at Salt Springs Elementary School.
The children are believed by their mother to be possibly undiagnosed autistic.
Daniel says he noticed the children were missing after approximately 20 minutes, then searched by car but found no trace of them.
RCMP & Search Efforts:
Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) believe the children may have wandered into the dense forest.
A Vulnerable Missing Persons Alert was issued across Antigonish, Colchester, and Pictou counties on May 2nd.
An intrusive broadcast alert followed on Saturday, May 3rd at 5:27 PM.
No Amber Alert was issued, as RCMP state there is no evidence of abduction.
Over 150 trained searchers have been combing a 3.5km (2.2-mile) radius, tying ribbons to trees to track searched areas. Despite heavy rain and fog, the search continues. A possible footprint was discovered on Saturday, prompting an expanded search in that area.
Updates:
Since the disappearance, Maleyah has reportedly left to be with family elsewhere in the province and has blocked Daniel.
