  • Vices & Virtues: Admitting We Get in Our Own Way and Seeking Improvement
    2024/04/01

Welcome to A Better Life Walkthrough Podcast! Me and Arthur started this with hopes to fulfil the original goal of this channel- to keep each other accountable and grow a community. (Hopefully) by the time this airs this podcast will be available on Apple podcasts and Spotify. We expect to start as amateurs and grow from there. Hope ya'll find something useful out of this project. I think we have a good intention and a pretty novel idea with the 'check-in'.

Peter and Arthur record their final episode together. They continue their discussion on Amir Levine's book "Attached." They discuss solutions associate with problems with certain attachment styles in romantic relationships and the validity of attachment theory in general when talking about romantic relationships. I hope you enjoyed mine and Arthur's time together and I hope you look forward to the changes coming to the channel. (More to come soon.)

  • #24 | Caitie Belle
    2024/08/26

Caitie is the general manager at the boxing gym Peter and Arthur work at, a former personal trainer, and a fitness influencer. We talk about a wide array of subjects from dating to fitness, and we touch on the essay I wrote and aired prior to this episode, specifically about the inability for people to know themselves in a world where screen time is taking over lives. We had much more to discuss and we will probably meet up again to discuss. Let us know what you think.

    2024/08/19

Arthur has finally resumed reading a book he said he would finish in January and it is time to discuss it! We are reviewed the book Attached by Amir Levine. Attached studies attachment styles in romantic relationships and how the understanding of your type of attachment can help you have a successful and secure relationship. This will be done in a 2 part series. Today we discussed the different attachment types and in part 2 we will be discussing the book's recommended ways of going about making each attachment style last.

  • #22 | An Informal Introduction to Formal Logic with Professor Coach Peter
    2024/08/12

Today we continue teaching Arthur philosophy! In this episode, we briefly discussed formal logic with logical fallacies, inductive vs deductive arguments, sound vs. unsound arguments, and the importance of learning logic.

We have hopefully fixed our mic issues for good, but please let us know if you encounter any technical issues while listening. In general, let us know what else we can work on so we can improve our brand here and make it more enjoyable or useful for you all! Much love, everyone!

  • #21 | An Informal Introduction to Metaphysics and Epistemology with Professor Coach Peter
    2024/08/05

Arthur makes Peter's day when he starts asking him questions about philosophy. Today Peter gives Arthur a very broad overview of two branches of philosophy: metaphysics (the study of the viability of things that exist and how they exist) and epistemology (the study of the foundation of knowledge. aka in what ways we can know a thing to be true). We also explore some of the major drama going on in Olympic Boxing with Imane Khelif and social media's impressive ability to get its stories wrong. Let us know if this episode bored you to death, or if you would like to learn more philosophy. We can round out the study of philosophy and learn logic and ethics soon, or we can spare you of that boredom if everyone does, in fact, find it boring :( Mic issues once again seemed to be fixed. So keep us aware of any technological problems you may be detecting. We are always looking to grow and asking for the required feedback. Much love everyone!

  • #20 | The 7 A's of Healing
    2024/07/29

Well as soon as we resolved our audio issues, we've encountered a computer issue and must resort back to the old audio. So, the software we used to split the audio correctly can't be run because it appears my laptop is broken and I am in need of a new one. Thank you for the patience while we work through our technical issues.

This episode we talk about Dr. Gabor Mate's 7 A's of Healing. This is a well known and globally implemented template used in therapies and one I have used in my therapy. We hope you follow along with the episode and interact as much as you can. We have found this to be important in our personal lives and we hope you can find utility in it as well.
