I spent a DECADE carrying a hair straightener around because I felt like I fit in more with my hair straight. I told myself that my curls were crazy, and frizzy, and unprofessional... I hid my uniqueness behind shiny sleek flattened hair for years and years. I avoided swimming and going out with friends in the rain for fear of my curls coming back. I used so much heat on my hair it started breaking all over. I spent hours in front of the mirror ironing out every wave and slight bend in my hair, because straight hair was (in the story I told myself) better.

Fast forward to 2022 and I can finally say I LOVE my hair. More than that, I LOVE MYSELF the way I was born to be! It's been a journey, don't get me wrong, but I'm grateful for the process and excited to share my hair journey with you!
