Steele also talks about flipping back and forth between the defensive and offensive lines for a couple of years under Chris Jones. Kilgore played four seasons in the league with Toronto, Hamilton and in Edmonton where he played a key role in helping the EE Football Team to a playoff spot in 2019. As a back up to Trevor Harris, he started five games and won a huge one against B.C. late in the season to clinch a playoff spot. He tells the story about taking a big hit early and spending most of the game with blood dripping from his mouth, and also about how he almost left mid-season in 2019. As Kilgore leaves for a coaching job in the NCAA, he reflects on his season in Green and Gold and why he decided now was the time to walk away as a player.
