Jordan joined me recently to talk about his life as a coach and personal trainer at Blended Athletics. For the past three years, he has organized a fund raiser for Brain Cancer research due to it having closely affected him and his family in recent years. To date, they have raised almost $55,000 with their annual event hosted at the wonderful Blended Athletics!

Jordan embodies the philosophy of being a good person and making positive change that I really admire and want to celebrate. You can follow jordan on Instagram @coachjordanforbes and check out what he's up to. Thanks for coming on the pod, Jordan!

  • Episode 41 - Tyler Paul - New Brunswick Bigfoot Organization
    2024/08/05

Those who know me know I like the subject of paranormal subjects as well as cryptids and one of my favorite subjects in that realm is Bigfoot. I love the stories, videos, etc that pique my curiosity on the regular. I've re-shared a story from Jodi who had an encounter when she was a kid that she shared when she was on the pod a while back.

Tyler runs the New Brunswick Bigfoot Organization so I wanted to talk to him to learn about how he got into this subject, what it means to him and what someone can expect if they go to the conference they are hosting this summer.

If you are interested in checking out their conference, it takes place at 1:00 pm on August 24, 2024 at the Irishtown Nature Park near Moncton, NB. I hope I can be there to gather some stories from people who attend to share here in the future.

  • Episode 40 - James Turple - Complain while you still can
    2024/08/04

It's been a minute! Jimmy came by to have a fireside chat, rant and rave about all kinds of hot button topics. This is a bit of an airing of greivances with the status of things. If you think everything is just fine, this might not be the episode for you.

There was beer, swearing, several pee breaks and neighbors dogs barking during the recording, what more could you ask for!

  • Episode 39 - Ruth Wagner
    2024/06/18

I've wanted to do an interview with my mother, Ruth, so she could share her story. She's had an interesting life to say the least and she's often said she'd like to write a book about it all. Well, I'm no author but I'm a bit of a podcaster so I thought this would be a good one.

This episode deals with some heavy issues including the loss of loved ones due to tragic circumstances. There were lots of tears but the main theme of this discussion is perseverance and fortitude, both of which my Mom has in abundance. Her love of family is second to none and I'm fortunate to have her in my life. Love you, Mom!

Also, the first few minutes sound a bit wonky but I sorted the mics out and it got better after the first 10. My endless struggle with audio continues!

  • Episode 37 - Kathy Doucette
    2024/04/18

Kathy is another Digby famous friend who joined me to tell her story. Kathy didn't have an easy start in life, but she worked hard through school and university to become one of the most successful people I know. We talked about her growth from feeling shame at her circumstances as a kid to being proud of how that lead to her being who she is today.

We talked about the lessons that Kathy learned from a young age up to recently becoming a mother. At one point, she didn't even think that she would ever be a mother but it has been a blessing that has added another valuable perspective to who she is today.

I really enjoyed this conversation and am appreciative of Kathy's openness about her life.

'Don't be a victim. You can actually create the life that you want.'

  • Episode 36 - Chris Lampier
    2024/04/05

Chris is a Dartmouth native who spent some time travelling the world and obtaining an arts degree before realizing that his passion for food was where he needed to go. He went back to school and is now the meal coordinator (Head Chef) at The North Grove, I came to know him while volunteering there for the community meal service.

Chris and I talked about his life up to The North Grove, his side passion/business of buying and selling records, and overcoming addictions to improve ourselves. We discussed the job he has and where the food comes from that he uses to prepare several hundred meals a week. We touched on some common themes for the pod including parenting and the importance of allowing a child to face and overcome challenges. We even touched on politics, in a polite and respectful manner.

Thank you for coming on and sharing your story and being so open with me, Chris. It's appreciated.

‘If you do nothing in this world except love your family and make them know that you love them, do everything you can to make the world better for them, then you’ve been a success.’

If you are interested in helping or volunteering at The North Grove, I can't recommend it enough. You can check it out here:
