In astrology, Saturn represents limits, restrictions, structure, and discipline. The sign of Pisces represents our relationship with what lies beyond the visible, the transcendent, and how we commune with it to redeem our experience here on earth. When Saturn bears its weight down on the topics of Pisces, as it will for the next two and a half years and continue to in the lives of those born to it, we come to know what it means to peer into the void in search of the ineffable, only to find ourselves staring back. This connection all human beings naturally seek with what lies beyond, some call God, Spirit, or Divinity. Whatever you choose to call it, the gulf that spans between us and it can seem insurmountable for some. For others, the fleeting and tenuous contacts made with it cannot be easily discerned from the musings of our own imaginations. Saturn in Pisces represents a confrontation with the walls that separate us from both the divine and our fellow corporeal travelers. The wall is, in fact, a necessary structure built to contain individual consciousness, but any structure can become a prison when you cannot find its doors.
