  • #66 - Losing Her Dad at 19: How Ellie Crabtree Found Purpose Through Competitive Bodybuilding
    2025/05/19

My guest today is Ellie Crabtree — a weight loss coach helping women transform both their minds and bodies. Ellie came second in the NABBA (National Amateur Body-Builders Association) Britain's Miss Novice Toned Figure, and her story is one of grief, rebuilding, and finding purpose. After losing her dad at just 19, she spiralled into emotional eating and isolation. What followed was a remarkable journey — not just of weight loss, but of self-discovery, discipline, and healing. We talk about food as comfort, the emotional crash after competition, why control can be both a shield and a struggle, and how she now helps other women with their own weight loss and mindset journeys.

I hope you enjoy my conversation with Ellie Crabtree.

  • #64 - Ramblings on Disappointment, Returning Home to Self, Broodiness & How to periodise your life
    2025/05/05

Welcome back to the podcast. This episode is split into two very distinct parts: one long, meandering reflection, and then tools and insights.

So, if you're new to the podcast and you don't give a flying [expletive] about my experience or internal state — the stuff I've been working through — then skip to the bit that I've labelled "lesson."

That part is about how to ensure we don't spend too much time in one particular mode or zone — it's about strategising your life and your calendar, similar to how you'd train, so you don't get burnt out.

If you're an OG and actually interested in the deeper, more reflective side of me, then listen to the beginning — it's much more raw and vulnerable.

I hope you enjoy the episode. Drop us a DM and let me know what you think.
