Behavior Bites talks to professionals in the fields of behavior analysis, psychology, education, and beyond, about who they are and what got them here. Feeling connected can be hard when you’re always pouring into others, commuting between houses, and battling impostor syndrome and burnout. My goal is to build a community around a virtual dining table, so pull up a seat with Rosie. Behavior Bites is hosted by Rosie Jeffers, MAT, BCBA, LABA.Rosie Jeffers 心理学 心理学・心の健康 衛生・健康的な生活

    2025/07/16

Have you ever been in a contentious IEP meeting?

Do you support families with their educational advocacy?

During today’s meal - I speak with a behavior analyst, IEP advocate, and mom of 3 about how she got into behavior analysis, the biggest barrier when helping families advocate at IEPs, and her favorite food experience while traveling.

About Annie McLaughlin, PhD, BCBA-D, LBA

Dr. Annie McLaughlin is a board certified behavior analyst and IEP advocate who runs a thriving consulting practice supporting families as they navigate the special education process and leads a small but mighty team dedicated to making the IEP process clearer and more collaborative.

Do you find the BACB ethics process a little mysterious?

Have you ever wondered how behavior analysts move forward after a violation?

During today’s meal - I speak with a behavior analyst, CEO, and all around amazing individual about her advice if you want to pursue a PhD, being “unprofessional”, the BACB ethics department, and the rivalry between Red Vines and Twizzlers.

  • Hate-Reading (with Matios Berhe) - Ep65
    2025/06/18

Reserve your spot at Ethics CEU Brunch, Sunday 6/29!

"Blurred Boundaries: Navigating Multiple Relationships in ABA”

When you hate something, do you push it away or try to learn more about it?

Have you ever been called difficult because you disagree or question feedback?

During today’s meal– I speak with a behavior analyst about his begrudging start to ABA, hate-reading authors he disagrees with, not chasing likes on social media, and you also get to hear us get really mad about substituting parsley for cilantro in pico de gallo.

    About Matios Berhe, M.S., BCBA

Raised in Chula Vista, California. Worked in marketing, first exposure to behavior science. Started working with ABA in group home settings (no formal training, just strategies). Worked in functional skills classrooms at charter schools under direction of a BCBA and introduced to the Cooper book. Transitioned to in-home. Currently working in home, clinic and telehealth settings.
