    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

Excited to bring you guys a new episode of the Black Men Vent Too Podcast. If you rock with us regularly, you know our podcast sounds like way more than just a “podcast”. We have segment breaks, commercial breaks, and so much more. To our new listeners, hit that follow button, and stick with us as we continue to advocate for mental health in our black men. 🧠

An “Out-East” raised brother, Army National Guardsman ⭐️ , and a father joins our podcast on today. Jeremy Rawls takes the time to sit down and vent with us about some of his early on entrepreneurship woes, but before we even get into his business journey … Jeremy went through a tough period of homelessness. He vented about resiliency, which exactly what it takes to get through almost a year of sleeping in your car. Jeremy says he learned so much from that experience, and it built a “mental muscle” that was able to help sustain him for life ahead. It’s way more to unpack in this episode Nashville, lock in this holiday season and take some time to listen to a black man vent today. ✌🏽

Mr. Williamson’s journey has accompanied all of these schools here in the city. So he definitely has seen the city grow in a many of ways. A now father, he has experienced a lot but has made sure that those experiences didn’t hinder him from the work needing to be done behind advocating for our culture. An opportunity presented itself overtime where at MTSU, he blossomed and served within a many of groups, organizations, and leadership positions. Fast forward to today, he is again the President of the Nashville NAACP Chapter. ⭐️

    2024/11/11

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

Man are we excited to be a part of you guys new week, as we bring forth another great episode from the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. ⭐️ No time to waste, let’s get into today’s episode.

Anytime we get a chance to bring a mental health professional on to our podcast, we consider it a privileged opportunity. Not only is this brother a mental health professional, but he is also an author, public speaker, entrepreneur, and father. We’re excited to present to some and introduce to others, our guy Mr. James Bush. ✌🏽

Do we have any “DMV” folks listening in on today’s podcast? 👀

James Bush is a proud native of the D.C, Maryland, & Virginia area and vents heavily about the “East Coast grind” being young growing up. Moving to Nashville in 99’, Mr. Bush attended Fisk University with the hopes of making his mark here in the city. But, it didn’t start out as he had it planned. A 2-time college dropout, he had all the odds against him. Working any and every job to keep himself afloat, he knew internally that his purpose was bigger than his current circumstances. Mr. Bush vents on the show about the “state of black people” … a loaded general topic of conversation that you don’t want to miss. Take some time to listen to a black man vent today. 🙏🏽

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

Excited to be bringing to you guys another episode of the Black Men Vent Too Podcast. ✌🏽. By now, if you’ve been keeping up with the last 173 episodes we’ve done, then you know we love to bring men on our show, young and old, to vent about all things mental health. If you have a story, then you have a place on our podcast.

    Let’s get into today’s episode! 🔥

We are excited to bring one of my pops good friends, a minister at Prosperity Missionary Baptist Church, Reverend O.C. Lawrence. ⭐️ We want to first thank Mr. Lawrence on spending some time of his life with the US Military, as a service, fighting for our country. Growing up in Franklin, Tennessee, Mr. O.C. says that things have changed a lot. He vents about some of the commonalities and differences between the millennial, “gen Z”, & the baby boomer generations. We also get into conversation about how, if left in the wrong hands, this country could quickly become a dictatorship. We as people have to be mindful of our rights to vote, as it pays homage to those that fought for us to have that right. In today’s episode we also touch on co-parenting, and how our guest mentally has navigated through that. Take some time to listen to a black man vent today. 🙏🏽

    2024/10/16

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

We are excited each and every week to bring to you new episodes of the Black Men Vent Too Podcast, the ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. Amongst many podcast here in Nashville, we stand in the lane of mental health. Aiming to change the narrative behind mental health in black men, one episode at a time. Let’s get into today’s episode! 🔥

CALLING ALL TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY ALUMNI, STAFF, AND CURRENT STUDENTS 🐅💙

During homecoming last week, we decided to pull a guest from the pool of great legends that have walked TSU’s campus over the years. Today, we present to some and introduce to others, Nashville’s very own DJ “SpiffyBoyDanny” ⭐️ to the podcast! We unpack a lot in today’s episode with Daniel as he talks about his journey through the DJ industry. For high school, he went to Nashville School of the Arts & attended the great Tennessee State University for college. Paying homage to late DJ greats in the city like DJ Malik, & DJ Svnny Dee who were major influences in his success; he comes and vents about his frustrations with the crime and killings in our city. In February of 2021, Daniel lost his best friend to gun violence. A friend that he says “traveled with him everywhere” and always was there to support him. This has been something that we as a community have been loud about for years. Sons, nephews, grandsons are being taken from this earth everyday by senseless shootings. We hope that today’s episode can shine light on those frustrations, and mentally how we can aim to prevent these occurrences moving forward.

    Good Morning Nashville ☀️

A new week, means a new episode from your favorite and ONLY black father and son podcast in the state of Tennessee. ⭐️ We are excited each week to know we have listeners eager to hear the stories told on our podcast. Today’s episode is one that tells a story of a true miracle, you’re in for a good one.

Our guest on today’s show is a young man that is a walking miracle, with such a powerful testimony. Leukemia is defined as a cancer, one that affects blood-forming tissues and hinders the body’s ability to fight infection. Daniel Drumwright, is today’s special guest on the Black Men Vent Too Podcast. ⭐️ Nashville, he is a SURVIVOR of leukemia, and has one hell of a story behind it. He comes to vent on the show about his journey behind mentally dealing within his newfound diagnosis. Like many of us, Daniel was born with normal eyesight, enjoying his daily activities and thriving in them. It wasn’t until the Fall 2014 that he began having vision issues in his right eye. Seeing a specialist, he was told that there was swelling in his retina and he would need injections. Time surpassed, and around his 30th birthday after a trip to Vegas, he tried to get out the bed and hit the wall with his shoulder … he knew then that something was wrong. Daniel was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia, an extreme increase in one’s white blood cell count. Guys, it’s so much to unpack with this one … don’t miss out on today’s chance to hear a black man vent today. ✌🏽
