  • SOUND OFF: Celtics Torch NBA’s No. 2 Defense Behind D-White, Pritchard
    2025/01/04

The No. 2 defense in the NBA had no answers for a Celtics offense that was missing Jaylen Brown and Al Horford on Friday night. Without those two stars, the C’s still managed to shoot 51 percent from the field and 49 percent from distance against the Houston Rockets. Derrick White (23 points) and Payton Pritchard (20 points) were big reasons why. Luke Kornet also gets a shout-out, and we preview what Sunday’s matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder might have in store.

  • SOUND OFF: Tatum Makes Statement in Debate for Best American-Born Player
    2025/01/03

They combined for 59 points, including two dagger 3-pointers from White during the final minutes, as the Celtics opened up their road trip on a high note. We’re sounding off on Tatum being the best American-born basketball player in the world, on Boston’s ability to win yet again while missing multiple starters, on the Celtics’ decision to not foul on the final defensive possession of the game.

We dive into the win, which included the return of Jrue Holiday, and a fan dares to ask why the Celtics can’t play THIS GREAT every single night.

    2024/12/31

Whether it was beating Tony Allen in shooting bets as a kid, getting picked up as an undrafted free agent as a player, or now being a coach for the title-winning Celtics, he embodies what it means to be a Celtic. Phil tells us what it was like growing up around NBA players as his dad was racking up a 20-year coaching career, and how that experience shaped him as a coach. He also talks about his relationship with Brad Stevens and Joe Mazzulla, including how he wound up back in Boston on their coaching staff, and about Payton Pritchard’s insane work ethic.
