Grant McKechnie is a seasoned Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Risk Leader with over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, risk management, and IT leadership.

Grant has held key positions at some of the country’s largest corporations, including Endeavour Group, Telstra Corporation, and NBN Australia. As the CISO of Endeavour Group, a $15B market capital leader in drinks and hospitality, Grant successfully established a greenfield cyber security function during Australia’s largest corporate demerger. He aligned cyber risk management with strategic business objectives across 28 subsidiaries, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex organisational structures.

Grants expertise extends to building secure national infrastructure, as evidenced by his role at NBN Australia, where he contributed to creating one of the countries' most secure networks. His experience also includes significant positions at National Australia Bank and BP, both in Australia and the UK.

Recognised for his contributions to the field, Grant was named one of the top 10 CISOs in the Asia Pacific Region by Enterprise Security Magazine in 2022. He has also played a crucial role in developing national cybersecurity initiatives, including chairing a working group for the development of a national Cyber Security curriculum for Certificate 4 and the Advanced Diploma.
