Cameron ran 3:52.54 in the Mile on February 27th, 2022, which bested local legend and 3x Olympian Nate Brannen (Cambridge, ON), who held the record in a time of 3:54.32. Cameron's 1500m split from the race qualified him to compete for Team Canada (his first time) at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade, Serbia,  March 18th - 20th, where he competed in the 1500m.
