Isabella cracked open the door and talked about growing up watching MTV and wanting to pattern her life just like the stars she was watching. She had big dreams and big plans. She married young, had a child, and divorced soon after because of the verbal abuse she suffered. But her second marriage to her wealthy prince charming, who love-bombed her, turned out to be a terrible nightmare and a drug addict that she desperately needed to escape from. She had thoughts of ending it all. A very dark time, and she needed to find a way to survive.

Carol cracks the door open to talk about The National Orphans Home, which first opened in 1850. It was the largest Institution of its kind in the U. S. and provided a very special home for thousands of children until its closing in 1944. It is said that it set the bar for being one of the best. Carol tells the story of her mother, only 4 at the time, and her siblings growing up in that orphanage after her grandfather died at the age of 32. He worked in a zinc mine in Tennessee and contracted black lung disease, leaving his wife a widow with 5 children. Tune in to hear how those children thrived in a time and place when they got it right.

He began having nightmares reliving the horror he had escaped. He turned to the staff psychologist for help. After his service in the Marines, he suffered another bad life experience when he was sentenced to a ten-year prison sentence.

Max cracks the door open to share about his real father abandoning his mother and his five small children. Desperate to put food on the table, his mother worked a night job as a desk clerk. His father's relatives turned her over to the authorities, accusing her of abandonment and neglect. She was sentenced to prison. It was a sad day when all five children were separated and put into foster care. Foster care was like living a bad dream for Max, but it did not even begin to compare to the life after his mother's release, when she remarried. For Max, his sisters, and his mother, their life became a nightmare of years of abuse by Heban, their stepfather and their mother's new husband.
