Today we study Mark 2:1-12 as Jesus heals a paralytic man and forgives his sins through His authority. We identify 4 different people groups in this passage and determine who we may identify with. The 1. Scribes who are offended by Jesus’ authority, 2. The Friends who are banking on Jesus’ authority, 3. The Crowd who is intrigued by Jesus’ Authority and 4. The Paralytic who is desperate for Jesus’ authority. Who are you as it relates to Jesus’ authority?

In this message we study Mark 1:16-20 primarily and Jesus’ early invitation to His first disciples. In a message entitled, “The Anatomy of the Invitation” we answer 2 major questions: 1. Who is Jesus inviting, and 2. What is He inviting them too?

What is the mark of a follower of Jesus? Nathan answers this question as we study Mark 1:9-13. Through Jesus’ baptism, temptation in the wilderness, and first proclamation we learn that the mark of a follower of Jesus is 1. A life of repentance, 2. A life filled with the Spirit and 3. A life filled with the Word of God.

Truth be told, there is actually nothing more disintegrating to the human soul. But if having a positive mindset isn't the fix-all, then what is? We feel it everyday as we drift from distraction to next immediate distraction and get tunnel vision to where all we see is the next thing in front of us, often forgetting the day before. The remedy of our forgetfulness is mentioned all throughout the Bible as 'remember'.
