When you abide in Christ people are going to treat you different. So today we aren't necessarily talking about how to show love to those people who are hard to love or the ones that love us, but PJ is walking us through what it looks like to handle negative reactions when we are abiding in Christ.

In his sermon based on James 1:22-25, Pastor PJ Noland emphasizes the importance of actively applying God’s Word to experience true life change. He argues that merely reading or discussing the Bible isn't sufficient; we must become doers of the Word. Citing James, he illustrates how one who only hears the Word deceives themselves, comparing it to someone who forgets their reflection after looking in a mirror. To effectively apply Scripture, he suggests focusing on four key areas:

1. Our thinking—transforming our mindset through Romans 12:1-2;
2. Our feelings—embracing joy and love as described in John 15:11;
3. Our living—making necessary changes in attitudes and actions according to James 1:22;
4. Our praying—engaging in heartfelt prayers influenced by Scripture, as highlighted in James 5:16.

By incorporating these practices, we can truly embody the teachings of the Bible in our daily lives.

Ephesians 6:11, 17 shows us that we have the power of the Bible to be a spiritual weapon against the evil one.
