In this episode, I had the pleasure of sitting down with the wonderful Samantha Billingham and Jared Whitaker.

Sam is the founder of Stronger Beginnings, she is a freelance Coercive Control Consultant and advocate for survivors of Domestic Abuse.

Jared is an author, speaker, and advocate dedicated to raising awareness about the critical challenges men face, particularly in the realms of Domestic Abuse and narcissistic relationships.

This is the first time DIP has had two guests at the same time, and what an episode it is....

I had the absolute pleasure of sitting down with the magnificent, Michelle John Founder of PEGS. Her aim is to reduce the impact of CPA by helping parents, training frontline professionals, impacting policy and raising awareness.

"Child to Parent Abuse is where a child (of any age) displays repeated abusive behaviours towards a parental figure. This abuse may be physical, verbal, economic, digital, coercive or even sexual - and it's thought to occur in at least 3% of UK homes, although the real figure could be much higher.

CPA is not 'normal' challenging behaviour experienced by most parents. She is Founder & Director, Aasha Consulting, Independent Researcher, UN Women UK, CSW68 & 6, GlobalG100 Panelist, Trainer, Specialist, Domestic Violence & Minority Communities, Researcher at SOAS and Visiting Lecturer.

I have waited so long for this conversation! When I started DIP in and Out with Lucy, my main aim was to ensure that everyone was included in the conversation around domestic abuse.

Sadly, this is not always the case in society. BAME community, minority communities are overlooked or misunderstood. This episode - I hope goes some way in changing that!
