Reese, Kmac, Pam and Alex discuss Damian Lillard returning to Portland, Bronny James in the summer league and more.
Yesterday, TJ Watt agreed to a three-year, $123M extension — $41M per year, making him the highest-paid non–quarterback in NFL history. Is Watt the best defensive player in the NFL? How far will Pittsburgh go this year? Is Micah Parsons the next guy to be paid? Would you pay Micah Parsons?
Damian Lillard agreed to a 3-year, $42M contract to return to the Portland Trail Blazers, his original team from 2012–23. The deal includes a player option for the 2027–28 season and a full no-trade clause, allowing Lillard autonomy over his future. Lillard is rehabbing a torn Achilles tendon, sustained during Game 4 of the Bucks’ first-round playoff series against Indiana (April 27, 2025). He is expected to sit out the entire 2025–26 season while recovering. His total earnings for the upcoming season will be around $70M, with approximately $141M over 2 years.
NBA Summer League has been in action for weeks now. Bronny James has been playing well and finding his footing. In Bronny's last 3 games: 18 PTS, 5 AST, 2 REB 17 PTS, 5 AST, 5 REB 14 PTS, 3 AST, 1 REB. But apparently, Reese is not satisfied or impressed. Has Bronny been impressive? Why is Reese hating?
