  • Magnifishite! - 12 Rounds
    2023/04/25

Wrestler movies. A genre of its own, or perhaps a beautiful niche, as Louis and Kate bring you the joy and wonder of John Cena's second lead role in a feature film, 12 Rounds. A beautiful nonsense filled with bad FBI agents, Aiden Gillen devouring the scenery and the most absurdly funny death scene in a film that really isn't supposed to be. Enjoy the episode, and absolutely enjoy the movie.

  • 57: Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense
    2023/04/10

Suit up, and stop making sense, as Louis brings his joy and love of 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense to the podcast. Expect talk about the form itself, David Byrne's David Byrneness, Tina Weymouth's bass magic and yes, some chat about some rather large menswear. What a film, and this podcast is pretty good too!

  • Magnifishite! - Entrapment
    2023/03/14

Magnifishite returns, as Louis and Kate tell you, in horrendously beautfiul detail, about 1999's.....heist erotic thriller? Entrapment, starring Sean Connery and Catherine Zeta-Jones. An exhaustive yet entertaining breakdown awaits

Magnifishite exists to celebrate the sublimely ridiculous, not the ridiculously sublime.

FISH SEX! That's why you are here isn't it? You want Louis and Kate to discuss the fish sex movie? Well tough cheese, because this movie is beautiful, kind and wonderful, and that's the podcast you're going to get today! Guillermo Del Toro's 2017 masterpiece is the subject of episode 55. This episode will hopefully evoke the loving nature of the movie, or it may make you want to purchase a teal car. Either way, it's another good one!

  • 53: The Terminator
    2023/01/31

Louis and Kate have a lovely chat about 1984 science fiction classic The Terminator, taking in great tension building, night shoots and the sheer James Cameronness of James Cameron. There's also talk of strangly comedic moments, and the sheer physical presence of the 7 time Mr Olympia turned Hollywood megastar Arnold Schwarzenegger in his most iconic role, and Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton get the plaudits they so richly deserve too.

The management hopes that "you'll be back" for our next episode.
