  • Don't Confuse the Pause with the Pivot: And Essentials for Your Narrative
    2025/05/09

This episode is your gentle (but firm) reminder that obedience doesn’t always come with a green light to go. Sometimes, God tells us to pause — and that can feel frustrating when we’re full of vision and momentum. But what if the pause is the protection? What if it’s preparation?

I open up about a moment I got ahead of God — and how He lovingly pulled me back to realign. We’re talking storyboarding with God, learning to rest in His timing, and why that inner itch to pivot may be a sign to sit still instead of sprint forward.

If you’ve been in a season of almost, not yet, or wait right here, this one is for you.

    🔑 In This Episode:

    • The moment I knew I was out of alignment
    • Why "moving by faith" isn’t the same as moving impulsively
    • What to do when you're tempted to pivot prematurely
    • How God used a quiet correction to protect my next move
    • The power of obedience over activity
    • What storyboarding with God looks like
    • The subtle danger of good ideas vs. God instructions
    • Why stillness is strategy

    📖 Scriptures Mentioned:

    • “Be still, and know that I am God.”Psalm 46:10
    • “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”Exodus 14:14
    • “Write the vision and make it plain… though it tarry, wait for it.”Habakkuk 2:2-3
    • “But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength…”Isaiah 40:31
    • “Obedience is better than sacrifice.”1 Samuel 15:22
    • “There is a time for everything...”Ecclesiastes 3:1

    📝 Take This With You:

If God told you to pause, it’s not punishment — it’s preparation. Obedience now sets the foundation for overflow later. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is... be still.

  • Don’t Rush the Rebuild: A Sabbatical, a Scattered Brain, and Starting Again With Grace
    2025/05/05

In this episode of Don’t Hit Snooze, I’m pulling back the curtain on something I’ve been sitting with for weeks: why my brain feels more scattered than ever… and why that might not just be "life be life-ing" but something deeper—something tender. Something sacred.

    We’re talking:

    • ADHD, mommy brain, and how it’s not just in your head
    • What Dr. Gabor Maté teaches about trauma and attention, and why it hit different for me as a mom
    • How childhood stress taught me to shut down and internalize early, and how that shows up now
    • Why discipline is self-love, not punishment
    • The tension between needing rest and feeling pulled to “still be productive”
    • What this upcoming mini sabbatical is beginning to reveal about my need for maintenance over milestones

This one’s for the overwhelmed achievers. The healing daughters raising free daughters. The women wondering if it’s them—or something deeper. Come sit with me in it.

    🔍 Scriptural Highlights

    • Romans 12:2 (NIV) – “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind...”
    • Proverbs 4:7 (KJV) – “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
    • Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG) – “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life...”
    • Isaiah 40:29 – “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.”

    🧠 Journal Prompt:

Where do I see the roots of my current habits—especially the ones I struggle with—showing up in my childhood story? And what would it look like to offer grace and structure to that younger version of me today?

    2025/05/02

In this episode of Don’t Hit Snooze, Cachetta Chére is coming for our goal-setting addiction—but with love. Because what if the problem isn’t your lack of vision, but your relationship with maintenance? 👀

We’re talking about how easy it is to feel overwhelmed by goals that look good on paper but don’t have a plan behind them. Cachetta shares real-life reflections on motherhood, personal branding, and podcasting—and how the real work is often not in the setting but in the sustaining.

    We’re unpacking:

    • Why you might be addicted to “new” and allergic to “consistent”
    • What maintenance looks like in daily life (spiritually, creatively, and practically)
    • How to keep building even when nobody’s clapping yet
    • The not-so-glamorous side of building a brand or business
    • Letting go of performance and tapping into purpose

    • Galatians 6:9 – “Let us not grow weary in doing good…”

    • John 15:2 – “Every branch that does bear fruit He prunes…”

  • Don't Snooze on Purpose—Even When Life Feels Uncertain
    2025/04/26

I share a moment that stopped me in my scroll—and shook something in my spirit. Inspired by a Facebook friend’s vulnerable post about anxiety, uncertainty, and that mid-air freefall feeling, this conversation is less “how to” and more “me too.”

  • Don’t Miss the Turn (or the Call)
    2025/04/21

Last night, I almost didn’t make it home. Not metaphorically—literally.

In this episode, I open up about a close call on the road that reminded me just how much God still protects, even when we're distracted, tired, or just… not all the way there. What started as a moment of exhaustion while trying to connect with my daughter turned into a divine reminder that we’re not out here alone.

I also reflect on Resurrection Sunday, the tension between celebration and commercialization, and how sometimes the sting of consumerism can cloud the sacred. But even in that—God is still speaking.

Then, I take you behind the scenes of a recent YouTube Creator Collective event I was invited to. From spilled drinks to nerves and feeling like the underdog in a room full of “somebodies,” I walked in unsure… but walked out believing I belong. Because the truth is: when God sends you, the numbers don’t matter—the calling does.

And the scripture that pulled it all together for me this week?

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’” – Isaiah 6:8

This one’s for anyone feeling off, out of place, or disconnected from their assignments. You’re not done. You’re being prepared.

God’s still calling. Will you answer?

    📖 Scriptural Highlights:

    • Isaiah 6:8 – “Here am I. Send me.”
    • John 11:25“I am the resurrection and the life...” (resurrection reflection context)
    • Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” (implied trust during the chaos)

    🔑 Key Topics:

    • Driving while distracted and divine protection
    • Real-time grace + close-call testimony
    • Resurrection Sunday vs. Easter consumerism
    • Showing up unprepared and still being enough
    • Creator event reflections & imposter syndrome
    • Saying “yes” to God even when you feel behind
    • Encouragement to prioritize purpose again

    🙏🏾 Takeaway Statement:

God’s preparation in your smaller assignments will be the saving of you in your bigger assessments. You’re not behind—you’re being built.

  • Don’t Miss the Lesson While You’re Mad About the Detour
    2025/04/19

In today’s episode, Cachetta Chére shares a transparent moment of reflection on what it means to truly trust God's timing—especially when things feel slow, unclear, or downright unfair.

What starts as a conversation about unmet expectations turns into a deeper look at divine protection, redirection, and the discomfort of delay. When God says “not yet,” it’s not always about punishment—it’s often preparation.

This one’s for anyone who’s ever felt frustrated with where they are, questioned if they’ve missed it, or wondered why God seems to be blessing everyone else but them.

It’s a reminder: just because it’s delayed doesn’t mean it’s denied. Don’t rush the process—there’s purpose in the pause.

    🔑 Key Takeaways:

    • Redirection is often protection—God blocks what you can’t see.
    • Delay doesn’t mean denial. It might mean development.
    • Sometimes God closes doors that you think make sense to open—because His view is bigger.
    • Impatience can lead to idols. Surrender leads to peace.
    • You are not behind. You’re being positioned.

    📖 Scripture References:

    • Isaiah 55:8-9 — “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways…” → God’s strategy won’t always feel logical. Trust Him anyway.
    • Jeremiah 29:11 — “I know the plans I have for you…” → Even in the pause, the plan is good.
    • Proverbs 3:5-6 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” → Don’t force clarity. Lean into faith.
    • Ecclesiastes 3:11 — “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” → You’re not late. You’re being made ready.

    🧠 Reflect & Journal:

    • Where in your life are you trying to force a timeline God hasn’t confirmed?
    • Are you calling something a failure when it might just be a redirection?
    • How can you lean into preparation instead of frustration?
    • What would it look like to fully surrender the timing and outcome?

In this episode of Don’t Hit Snooze: The Podcast, Cachetta Chére shares a personal story from her church’s 1-year anniversary where she stepped out of her comfort zone, rapped in front of the congregation (yep, you read that right!), and experienced a powerful moment of breakthrough.
