このコンテンツについて
In this episode of The Poultry Podcast Show, Dr. Jean Noblet, a consultant in monogastric nutrition, breaks down the science of energy evaluation in poultry feed. He talks about key methods like indirect calorimetry and net energy prediction, explaining how they apply to real-world poultry production. Dr. Noblet also shares insights on the challenges of using net energy systems and why precise feed evaluation matters. Join us for a conversation on how energy research can improve poultry nutrition. Listen now on all major platforms!
"Net energy takes into account the heat production associated with nutrient metabolism, making it a more precise measure for feed formulation."
Meet the guest: Dr. Jean Noblet holds an agricultural engineer degree from INA Paris-Grignon and a Ph.D. in Nutrition from Pierre and Marie Curie University in France. He worked at INRA (France) from 1977 to 2016, focusing on energy and protein nutrition in pigs, poultry, and calves. His research has contributed significantly to feed evaluation, calorimetry, and energy requirement modeling. Now a consultant in monogastric nutrition, Dr. Noblet continues to collaborate on poultry research worldwide.
