Ep 4: They Gave Us The Shortest Month For Black History?

  • サマリー

  • In celebration of Black History Month, I discuss the popular quotes that get repeated year after year, "They Gave Us The Shortest Month" or "Black History Should Be Celebrated 365". These sayings assume that was never the intended purpose of Black History Month. As I dig into the history, it becomes obvious these sayings are nothing short of ironic and leave out important and exciting facts. 2021 marks 95 years since time was set aside to celebrate Black people in history. There is no better time to get back to the origins.  Happy Black History Month!
