It's been a record-setting week here in the Bay Area and all across the state, as soaring temperatures have smashed previous highs and a heat warning for much of the region has been extended through the weekend. And not even coastal areas have been spared—as San Francisco managed to hit a whopping 95 degrees on Wednesday, marking the hottest October day in nearly three decades, and one of the city's top ten hottest since weather records begin back in 1874.
