  • Don’t Waste Your Summer: Four Ways To Make It Count
    2025/05/21

Welcome to our podcast today. I am Ronnie Floyd, your host and friend. Before I start this episode, let me introduce you to some important matters.

First, next Monday is Memorial Day. Thank you to all families throughout generations who have lost family members in the line of battle, protecting our freedom in America. Thank God for each one of them. Next week, we will not release a podcast due to Memorial Day, a shorter work week, and many of you will be formally beginning your summer. However, I will be back with you, releasing our next podcast on Wednesday, June 4. Don’t miss it!

Second, pray for me. I will be preaching four Sundays in June. On June 1, I will preach at Cross Church Springdale and Pinnacle Hills. On June 8, Jeana and I will be in Dallas, Texas, attending the Southern Baptist Convention. On June 15, I will preach at Fellowship Church in Greenwood, Missouri, which is located in the greater Kansas City region. Pastor Chris Williams is a great leader and friend, and the Fellowship Church is phenomenal. Then, on June 22, I will preach for my dear friend, Dr. Jeremy Roberts, at the First Baptist Church in Farmington, Arkansas. Then, on June 29-30, I will preach for Pastor Alan Arthur, the pastor of First Baptist Church in San Saba, Texas. He has asked me to speak several times, leading his church in a Prayer Conference. I am so grateful for these opportunities, so please pray for me. Now let’s get started with the podcast for this week. Let’s go!

  • 5 Practical Things To Do When You Are Feeling Down
    2025/05/14

I am very excited about my subject this week: 5 PRACTICAL THINGS TO D0 WHEN YOU ARE FEELING DOWN. When we become disappointed about something, or we become discouraged in life, what should we do? On last week’s podcast I talked about WHEN DISCOURAGEMENT COMES. In it, I wanted to focus on the subject of discouragement, so really did not talk about some practical things to do to overcome it. When you are feeling down, what should you do?

  • WHEN DISCOURAGEMENT COMES
    2025/05/07

Whatever your level of success, you will still face discouragement. You may be worth millions or billions, or living one pay period at a time. You can have homes worldwide or live in a modest apartment or house. You can have an impressive financial portfolio or be deep into debt. You can have the title in your job you have always wanted and operate at the top of your game, or you may be working your way to the top, which now seems like a hopeless journey. My point today: Every person, including you and me, will face discouragement in their life. The issue is not if it will come, but when it comes. This is why I am addressing this real-life problem: WHEN DISCOURAGEMENT COMES.

  • The Trap of Self-Deception
    2025/04/30

One of the most dangerous traps in life is self-deception. We are in trouble when we think more highly of ourselves than we should. We can see in someone else’s life when they are deceiving themselves. However, we do not see this in our own lives because we are blind and unaware of the genuine reality about ourselves. It is time to stop lying to ourselves. Yes, unquestionably, one of the most dangerous traps in life is self-deception. Stay tuned and inform others now. I am about to share with you in my 50th episode of this podcast about THE TRAP OF SELF-DECEPTION. Please do not miss it.

In just a moment, I will discuss a subject I have never addressed and share some information with you that you may not have heard or read about before. I promise you that today’s podcast will be one of the most helpful podcasts I have done with you.

Just a quick note from our past week: Jeana and I spent three days in Orlando, Florida, for an annual conference we attend called The Mega-Metro Conference for Pastors and Wives. I have now participated in this conference for thirty-seven consecutive years. We prioritize it because God always blesses and encourages us when we gather for this event. We provided leadership for this conference in three different years during my Cross Church tenure. We are thankful to Pastor Chris Bell and his wife, Nan, who served this year by leading and designing the program for these various gatherings at the conference. Pastor Chris Bell is the Lead Pastor of the multi-campus 3 CIRCLE CHURCH based in Fairhope, Alabama.

Now, let’s get right into my podcast for this week.

While conversations about the various generations occur daily, they are usually about the younger generations, such as Generation Alpha, Born 2013-2025; Generation Z, Born 1997-2012; and, of course, the Millenials, born 1981-1996. While we must always be aware and committed to the next generations, we can never forget the others. For example, where would we be today without Generation X, Born 1965-1980 and now in their forties to late fifties? Then, we have the Baby Boomers Generation, Born 1946-1964, now in their sixties to eighties. Furthermore, what about the Silent Generation, Born in 1928-1945, now in their eighties and nineties? Finally, we cannot forget The Centenarians, people born in 1925 or earlier, and some 100,000+ of these people live in the United States.

  • SPEAK ONLY THE TRUTH
    2025/04/02

All people and most especially those who are entrusted with leadership responsibilities, need to SPEAK ONLY THE TRUTH. Furthermore, all leaders make decisions based upon the information shared to them by others about the people and situations they lead and called upon to address. Listen friends: SPEAKING THE TRUTH ALWAYS MATTERS.

Less than one year ago, BroadStreet Publishers released my 365-Day Devotional, Day by Day and Night by Night. Each day’s devotional, which can be read in the morning and evening, or all at one time in about 3 to 5 minutes daily. Each devotion is only an approximate 260 words per page. If you do not have a copy of this, I want to urge you to go on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles, or Christian Books, and order it today. Why is this so?

Because what I am about to share with you today is based upon what God says in the Bible, but was mentioned briefly through one of the devotions from this book, Day by Day and Night by Night. Quite honestly and I say this humbly to you, what I am about to share with you may be one of the most important things you have ever been told about your own life and the lives of those who are closest to you in your family, organization, team, corporation, or ministry.

The Call in Exodus 20:16 is to SPEAK ONLY THE TRUTH. Do you realize how important and significant this is for your life and your entire organization, business, church, team, or whatever your vocation may be? SPEAKING ONLY THE TRUTH is one of the most important core convictions you should desire and quite honestly, demand from yourself and others surrounding you in your life.

  • GOD IS GOOD TO US
    2025/03/26

Reflecting on the last few days, I’ve felt God’s goodness in our lives. Especially when things felt uncertain and lacked the usual rhythm and structure, His presence has been a comforting influence.

I want you to know that GOD IS GOOD TO YOU.

    CONSIDER THESE WORDS:

“Good and upright is the Lord.” Psalm 25:8

“The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knows those who trust in Him.” Nahum 1:7

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6

WHAT DO WE MEAN WHEN WE SAY GOD IS GOOD?
