After over 25 years in the world of sports, I developed a set of skills and habits that I continue to apply to my life and career everyday, but on my own terms. I did not want to coach as a career, even through it would have been financially a more sensible choice, I chose to apply those skills and habits to creating a company that would allow me to remain indirectly in sports as a coach/trainer. I reflect on my choices as athlete and the reason why I chose to be a athlete and pursue my career as a professional athlete - Was it financially motivated or was it for the love of the game - or both?
