After taking a deeper look at the first 3D Zelda title last week, we decided to pay its darker, more ominous sequel a visit as well. Unlike with many franchises, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (2000) is a sequel that actually upholds the quality of its predecessor and deserves a spot right beside it as one of the top video games of all time!

We discuss the unique and incredible storytelling, the characters of Termina and their busy schedules, and the reasons why we believe quality will always trump quantity when it comes to content in video games. We also bring up some of our favorite masks and the awesome abilities that they bring to the table!

Extraction shooters have become exponentially more popular in the last several years, and that's no doubt thanks to Escape from Tarkov (2017), one of the most well known games in the genre. There's no question that this game has its flaws, but as far as hardcore pseudo-simulator FPS games go, there's a lot to love about it as well!

We highlight the best mechanics that this game has to offer from its vast weapon customization to its punishing, hardcore take on combat scenarios. Then, we look at the darker side of Tarkov and some of the unfortunate issues plaguing this experience that we would love to see addressed sooner rather than later.

Though the 2010s provided us with all the survival games we could hope to play, Subnautica (2018) was a unique masterpiece with its almost entirely undersea setting, top-notch environmental storytelling, and subtle horror aspects sure to trigger even the smallest case of thalassophobia!

We dive into our favorite biomes and what it's like to explore them, our spookiest experiences with the dreaded leviathans, and the incredible immersion that comes from discovering the story as you traverse this handcrafted ocean planet.

This game also gives us the perfect opportunity to debate some of our favorite proteins, salmon and sirloin. Jess passionately defends the simplicity and delicateness of his favorite salmon fillets, while Bennett holds his ground on the bolder flavors of his favorite sirloin steaks.
