    Ryan Noggle is a TV writer and producer and, in this episode, talks about his musical 'Charlie Hu$tle,' about the life of notorious baseball legend Pete Rose. Noggle discusses how rehearsals for the musical officially began the day before Rose died on Sept. 30, 2024. 'Charlie Hu$tle' has been a passion project for Noggle, who grew up as a Reds fan two hours outside of Cincinnati in rural Indiana, has been working on the musical for 11 years. He explains why after years of work, he scrapped all of his original songs and completely started over, talks about meeting with Rose while researching the project and shares the one piece of advice Rose gave him on how to approach the musical. In addition, Noggle is the founder of 'Survivor in a Day,' a backyard version of the popular TV game show 'Survivor,' as well as a former NBC Page.

    Political strategist and former press secretary for the Vivek Ramaswamy presidential campaign Tricia McLaughlin discusses the state of the 2024 presidential race, who Donald Trump might choose as a running mate, the RFK Jr factor, and some of the Biden campaign strategies. Tricia talks about how she was the first campaign staffer hired by Ramaswamy before he even officially launched his campaign and what it was like working out the candidate's basement at first and eventually becoming one of his senior advisers. Within about eight months, Ramaswamy was at the middle podium for the first Republican debate due to his campaign's momentum and how well he was polling among the rest of the field. Tricia also touches on some of the work she did at the State Department as a political appointee in the Trump administration as well as her newly-launched political communications firm called Insurgent Strategies.

    Owen Brown is an award-winning creative director and the founder of CTRL5 Studios and in this episode he discusses directing the recent music video 'Moving On' for the band Arizona. The project was a massive production shot in the Arizona desert in partnership with Navajo Nation and involved the creation of the state's largest piece of temporary land art. The video won three Clio Awards and Owen talks about how he made the extraordinary project come to life. He also talks about starting a career in journalism before later moving on to a major creative agency before launching his own studio.
