    So if you remember Westlife but struggle with the Westland affair and if your favourite Aitken was a Tory MP or the one who co-wrote I Should Be So Lucky, we’ve got you covered in this ridiculous historical guide to the information age (even if that information came from a poorly recalled browse of Encarta ‘95).

    These weekly episodes are interspersed with interviews with the people who lived through this period to understand whether it has had any bearing on the lives they lead today.

    Engineer, athlete, author, filmmaker, entrepreneur and comedian Anu Vaidyanathan joins Gareth Gwynn and Esyllt Sears for a chat about cultural phenomena from the 1970s to the present day. Growing-up in India, we discuss her earliest memories, her tech-savvy family and her move to the USA - before the conversation, like her life, takes a left-turn into discussing the difference between an Ironman and Ultraman Trialthlon - and some of the characters she met along the way, while persuing both! We also discuss Clown School and Catholic School. Y'know, the two types of school.

    Coming to you from Aberystwyth Comedy Festival 2024, this is a live recording with a special guest - stand-up and social media star, Eleanor Morton.


    Eleanor's appearence is being split across two episodes, and in the first half Esyllt Sears is presenting Eleanor and Gareth Gwynn with her findings in-and-around October 2007. Keeping Up With The Kardashians had begun and some astronauts in space needed waking up. We also quiz Eleanor about her earliest memories and she picks and item for our regular feature, The Xennial Dome - selecting a significant TV show for the museum we're building dedicated to late 20th Century life.

    Gav talks us through what it was like to be on the cutting-edge of naughty-boy tech in the 1990s. We're prank calling people on payphones, we're hacking mobiles, and we're downloading all-sorts of muck on 56k modems - but don't get caught, or you're going "to the homes".
