Today, we finish our three week series on our new Discipleship Pathway. This is a pathway we have created to teach and lead people into a deeper relationship with God and to become better disciples of Jesus Christ. We combined our logo, our mission statement, membership vows, and pratical markers in the journey to create a path for anyone to follow. Today we look at how we are to live as Christ from Mark's calling the disciples and from Philippians as we adopt the attitude of Christ. We are to live as Christ by diving deep into our prayers and our witness. We learn that disciples pray daily and participate in other spiritual disciplines to grow closer to God but they also invite others to follow too. This is how we become fishers of people.

James' 3rd chapter reminds us that words are important. If we use them without reguard to their power, they can cause more damage than good. As the GenZ Bible puts verse 9, “We use our words to praise God, our Father, and sadly, we also use our words to insult or curse fellow humans, who are created in God’s image.” We explore the power of words this week and we are glad you are joining us.

It begs the question, what is it you are looking for and are you truly ready for the answer that Jesus will give? Are you ready and willing to do the work that the answer requires?

We are to love our enemy and if we do, that tells the world the power of Jesus's love and grace. This is easier said than actually done, but it isn't impossible for someone.

This week we explore the question, "Why are you anxious?" In Luke's gospel, Jesus reminds us of ravens and lilies who aren't worried about life as much as us humans. If God will provide for them, how much more will God provide what we need? Anxiety is a hard thing to turn off and in this sermon we explore some ways to combat those emotions and to focus on what God is and has already given us.
