I picked it for the cast even though I watched it on a whim. I was rapidly engrossed in the film, which continuously explored fresh plot points. Unbelievably, it also had a fairly amazing love story—something that is extremely difficult to do in the horror/sci-fi genre. In contrast to action-packed films where we couldn't care less if the actors perished, the characters were enjoyable to root for and their bond truly elevated the film. The fact that I didn't see any movie trailers did assist, I believe. I was able to appreciate it without any expectations because of it.
