Bryan Ready spent 15 years preaching the gospel as a faithful Baptist pastor. But over the course of 35 years, his heart was slowly softened by the Spirit toward the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Eventually, he stood at the pulpit one last time to resign, choosing to follow the promptings that led him to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This is the remarkable story of faith, sacrifice, and a lifelong love for the Savior.

James’ childhood was split between living at the Scientology Celebrity Center with his mother and living with his agnostic Father. He learned about God from a young age by watching Sunday morning TV preachers, and would even pray for his family. In his teenage years, James turned to substances as a way to cope with the difficult parts of life. After the passing of a celebrity he looked up to, James was prompted to begin a spiritual journey and change his life. His co-worker, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, gave him a copy of the Book of Mormon.
