In today's Friday special we will be making meat balls for pasta. Simply the last time we made it was so good, I wanted to have it again, but better (and more fun).

Kogel Mogel, also known as Gogel Mogel, is the most simple dessert to have ever been made on the face of Earth. It has Jewish roots and spread far and wide all over the Soviet Union due to its simplicity (and the fact that shops in Soviet times were too poor to sell desserts).

Today is an international Pastafari holiday! For this his Noodly Appendage is mighty pleased, and to appease him even more, a pasta meatball sauce shall be boiled.

Last day we went with Mico and some friends deep into Southern Estonia's woods to pick mushrooms. I haven't seen that many mushrooms in my life. We found a 1kg boletus and a few bags of other various gourmet mushroom species. We made a risotto with 1L of wine, and still had a lot of shrooms left over the next day so we cooked one hell of a meal.

Sharif had been laying roofs in Tallinn for the past year. It was his last night in Estonia before he returned home to his family and so we got a brand new cast iron pot from Uzbeks to have a true Tajik dinner together before he left.

Before I started cooking, one girl noted - you aren't going to add dates to pasta, are you? Little did she know that I am not going to use any salt, either.
