このコンテンツについて
It’s easy to find someone claiming they “don’t need anybody” on social media. Often this comes as a trauma response to feeling powerless, by proclaiming your personal power and independence, effectively giving up on people.
There’s nothing wrong with being strong and independent, but there is a problem if you’re treating other people like they don’t matter because you’ve decided you don’t need anyone else. Being hurt in relationships can cause you to put up a wall that keeps everyone out. Being alone for a while then can lead to shallow relationships just out of loneliness, which results in more hurt.
The first thing to do to get yourself out of this cycle is to forgive yourself and show yourself compassion. Next, forgive others. Remember that you are not responsible for anyone else’s actions, just like they aren’t responsible for yours.
