  • Episode 88 - Phil Tomkinson & Josie Clough

    Dave, Cal, Sean and Katie speak to two Manchester YMCA Harriers. Phil who is the president of the club and Josie who is the female club captain. Phil has PBs of 5k in 16:51, 10k in 34:25, half in 1:18:39, marathon in 3:00:05. Josie has PBs of 5k in 21:58, 10k in 47:07, half in 1:50:07, marathon in 4:07:44. They both talk about how they got into running as well as how they ended up at Manchester YMCA Harriers. Phil talks about them 5 seconds on the marathon and Josie talks about getting beating a 5k PB in her 20s from when she was a junior.

    The team review races for Cheshire half, Northern Counties Relays and National XC. Cal is gearing up for Snowdon, Dave is back from 2 weeks of lots of running, Katie is back in the groove and Sean is less than 2 weeks from Berlin Marathon 2024.

  • Episode 87 - Andy Sykes

    Sean, Cal and Katie speak with an East Cheshire Harrier who has travelled the world doing marathons, with one coming up very soon. With PBs for 5k in 19:02, 10k in 38:36, half in 82:00, marathon in 2:54:38. Andy talks about Daddies Escape and how they were perfect for his situation as well as how grateful he is of their time. He also shares the story of his daughter Pixie Belle. He has done many marathons and gives his verdict on why he loves doing it. He also gives the verdict on the best and worst marathons.

  • Episode 86 - Rachael Rozhdestvenskaya

    Cal, Sean and Dave speak to a Sale Harrier who has PBs of 18:36 for 5k, 37:50 for 10k, 1:23:19 for half and 3:00:38 for the marathon. And the big one, Rachael is a world record holder for 10k with a buggy which was achieved at Alderley Bypass. Rachael talks about how she started running and her experience of running in Russia as well as Spain. She talks about the how amazing Spain is for running and the strange prizes she won. She also talks about how she came about attempting a world record for 10k in a buggy at Alderley Bypass and how Run North West were able to help. With a young family Rachael tells us how she fits in training and how she gets the children involved.

    The team are back with lots of race reviews including the sell out Black Knight Charge which we hosted with East Cheshire Harriers. With Katie away in Turkey, Dave tells us about his training including some ups with a great 5k at Ellesmere Port, and some downs with a niggle, Cal talks about training after a 2 week all inclusive and Sean is only 5 weeks away from Berlin Marathon.
