The Tampa Bay Rays drop the first game of the series to the Detroit Tigers 5-1. The Rays just never got things going in this one. The Rays got down 2-0 early after a 2 run home run by Javy Baez. The Rays would get one of those runs back after a Jonathan Aranda RBI single. That would be the only offense the Rays would muster as Tigers pitcher Keider Montero only needed 68 pitches to get through 6 IP. Shane Baz pitched for the Rays and was solid once again. He went 6 IP striking out 7 giving up 3 runs. The Rays bullpen gave up 2 earned runs once again. They have now allowed multiple runs in 5 straight games. The Rays will look for a bounce back tomorrow.

The Tampa Bay Rays pick up a much needed win, beating the Twins 7-5. This was another wild game for the Rays. After the Rays took a 4-2 lead in the top of the 8th the bullpen would blow another lead. Harrison Bader would hit a 2 run home run to tie the game in the 8th. After each team went scoreless in the 9th the Rays offense would bounce back in a big way in the top of the 10th. They would score 3 runs highlighted by a Yandy Diaz RBI double. Eric Orze would come in the bottom of the 10th to shut the door for a big win. Joe Boyle pitched the bulk innings today for the Rays. He went 5 IP striking out 7 as he was dominate for most of the game. The Rays will not head to Detroit to face the best team record wise in the MLB starting tomorrow night.

The Tampa Bay Rays lose another frustrating game to the Minnesota Twins, 6-5. The Rays once led 5-1. Then for the 2nd straight game it was a complete collapse by the bullpen. The Rays bullpen gave up the last 5 runs of the game to lose again. Masked in all of that was a good bounce back start from Taj Bradley. He went 5.2 IP only giving up 3 runs and striking out 5. The offense put pressure on all game but could not get the big hits needed after the Twins tied the game. The Rays will look to avoid the sweep tomorrow afternoon.

The Tampa Bay Rays blow another lead losing to the Twins 4-3. The Rays found themselves down 1-0 after the first 5 innings but would get some traction in the 6th. It started with a Yandy Diaz RBI double and a Junior single to give the Rays the lead. The Rays would add another run in the 7th to make it 3-1. Thats when the Bullpen would implode. The Rays bullpen gave up the last 3 runs of the game. The Bullpen spoiled what was a fantastic outing from Zack Littell. Littell went 6 IP 4 hits giving up only 1 run. The Rays have now lost 4 of their last 5 games and will look to bounce back tomorrow afternoon.
