  • Bekky Bridge - Profesional Vocalist
    2022/10/13

In this episode, we talk to Bekky Bridge - a professional wedding and jazz singer / pianist from Northern Ireland. She talks to us about how she manages her different sources of income from singing including weddings, live performances at micro-breweries and...Christmas parties!

Bekky gives some great advice for any singers looking to turn their talent into real income or just take the next step from singing Karaoke with your friends. Make your face known at local venues, turn every meeting with like-minded creatives into an opportunity and most importantly, drink water. Which won't actually make any sense, we cut that out.

Anyway, enjoy the episode and watch to the end to catch Gaz and Jack discussing what they thought of the episode after editing.

  • Harvey Mountford - Videography - Part 2
    2022/09/29

Welcome to Part 2 of 2 with Harvey Mountford - a professional videographer and photographer.

Harvey has worked on a variety of projects including adverts, marathons, major sporting events and of course, music videos!

In Part 2, Harvey takes through the average day working with a client - what is a videographer expected to do in a professional setting, what are the different roles within videography and what are the differences and expected work for each?

We also talk about music videos. Harvey gives some great advice for any bands or artists who are looking to hire a freelance videographer such as himself and what does he expects when it comes to a breif (which is a lot less than you think...)

Stay tuned to the very end to catch Gaz's rendition of the new intro!

  • Harvey Mountford - Videography - Part 1
    2022/09/22

Welcome to Part 1 of 2 with Harvey Mountford - a professional videographer and photographer.

Harvey has worked on a variety of projects including adverts, marathons, major sporting events and of course, music videos!

We talk to Harvey about how he got into videography and how he went from working in a pub to a full time freelance videographer. He gave some great insights into what the day-to-day role looks like when working with clients and how to break into the industry.

A few updates on some changes we have made to the podcast - our new intro's and outro's are a bit of fun that myself and Gaz have when making the videos. We have a casual catch up at the beginning of Part 1, talking about why we felt the guest was a good fit for the pod. At the end of Part 2, we round off the episode by talking through the best lessons and advice that each of us got from the guest.

We hope you enjoy the new episode and enjoy watching us from 50 feet in the air :)

  • Cavelia - Part 2
    2022/09/08
Welcome to Part 2 of 2 with Owen and Danny from the indie rock band Cavelia from Wigan.  What interested us when we first met Cavelia is that all of their work up until that point had been self produced. In the episode, we focus on the pro's and cons of self production, the significance of authentic branding and how to structure your set to keep a crowd engaged throughout your sets.  Unfortunately, Jack decided a few nights before this episode that he would break his camera so the focus has dropped for some of the shots. Gaz wasn't innocent either, a few technical problems with the space on his laptop meant that we had to use the camera audio for this episode! We're sorry for the quality of the edit but the advice that Owen and Danny gave us was too good not to share.  Join us in the studio with Cavelia.
