  • Minnesota's Finest: Joe Sexton - Mark My Bird
    2024/11/25

Our most serious episode yet... well, Clavin put on a suit but that is about the extent of the serious portion. We wanted more than just what could fit in the latest Snowboard Mag print issue with Joe Sexton so we decided to have him on as a guest as well! From filming iconic parts over the past 15+ years to helming his own brand, Public Snowboards, Joe sat down to chat about it all. He covers how he went from being a snowboarder trying to get signed to now signing riders, having a twin brother in the NHL, hitting a world record rail in the streets and plenty more. Enjoy the latest episode with one of snowboarding's favorite people (and with T. Bird and Clavin there as well). Check out Public Snowboards here! https://www.publicsnowboards.com/

  • Erik Leon Is C.O.R.E. Snowboarding - Mark My Bird, Ep. 15
    2024/11/14

One of the busiest people in snowboarding. We have been trying to get Erik Leon on the podcast since the first episode and it only took 15 to get him! Hailing from Southern California, Leon gives us a look into a career he has created with some of the biggest brands in the outdoor space (including The North Face and Ford) without an agent! You read that correctly. Erik does his deals the old-fashioned way, by being an extremely talented snowboarder and an equally enjoyable human to be around. It probably helps that the Riverside-born rider has a vision and drive that is hard to disagree with. Enjoy a convo with Erik and our two hosts, T. Bird and Clavin, for the latest episode of the podcast brought to you by Snowboard Magazine. Also available anywhere you listen to your other podcasts! Thanks for listening. More episodes coming soon.

    2024/10/07

Justin "Stan" Leveille checks in for the latest episode of the Mark My Bird podcast with Mark Clavin and T. Bird for a chat about all things Stan... which is what he mostly talks about anyways. A respected "snowboard journalist" and most notably the host of The Last Resort and Editor of Slush Magazine, the former Snowboarder Magazine editor and Yobeat writer breaks down his career (working with both Mark and Bird in the past), the current and future state of snowboarding media, and plenty more. • Where In The World Is "Hondo"? - Mark My Bird, Ep. 12
    2024/09/23

We have a special one today! For those who loved snowboarding in the early 2010s, Jason "Hondo" Newman was at the center of snowboarding media. As the online editor over at Transworld Snowboarding, he was the face of the entertaining interviews and was the man who held the Instagram password for the site as it blew up with the app. His list of projects span from Adidas to Shaun White with plenty of highlights along the way. He has never done a podcast and we are still pretty new at it, so we decided to have him on to chat what life is like since he left snowboarding media for a successful career in New York City. Enjoy the latest episode from Snowboard Mag with editors/hosts T.Bird and Mark Clavin.

  • Lolo Derminio - The Next John Daly?
    2024/07/01

This is why we do this podcast! One quick text from a friend saying they are down and next thing you know, we have an episode. A rising star in snowboarding and ripping piano player, Lolo Derminio aka the future lady John Daly, joins Clavin and T. Bird to chat the past year filming, pseudonyms, golf/PGA aspirations, coming from a big family, and plenty more. It is our 10th "podcast attempt" and it is a good one! Riding for Sims, Monster, 686, Northwave and currently looking for Long Drink or Twisted Tea to pick her up, Lauren called in from the back of her truck parked outside her sister's house in California for a quick hour with spotty wifi. Enjoy!

(As always, if you know someone in marketing... hit them up! We will take their money!)

    2024/06/20

A special episode with the voice of snowboarding, Todd Richards, to discuss the recent announcement of Shaun White's Snow League and the X Games League. As Todd puts it, going from no contests on the horizon to a ton, this is all going to get very interesting. Todd joins Mark Clavin and T. Bird to clarify some of the questions surrounding the new leagues, as well as talk potential impact for riders, fans and more. Will we finally have a mainstream tour that as snowboarders we can call our own? Only time will tell!
