Morag Wehrle on Not Selling Yourself Short, Writing, Post-Partum Depression, and Blending History with Memoir

  • サマリー

  • For their last interview of the season, Alex and Karen are joined by writer Morag Wehrle to talk all about the non-fiction memoir she is currently working on that centres around postpartum depression - connecting her own experience with that of a woman from the late 19th century who was institutionalized for the same condition. They discuss how the project came to be and the serendipitous nature of it; from the circumstances that led to Morag working on the book to her incredibly varied backlog of careers and passions that came together to aid in her research. Morag gives so much insight into her creativity and together they cover so many aspects of the creative practice, like creative biases and continuing to learn and explore in adulthood.
