Petey gives us a reality check about what it means to go to work every day, and Steven reminds us that sometimes the best jobs are the ones we do because we couldn't sleep at night if we didn't. This conversation runs the gamut from purpose, queer family models, and unconditional love.

They see themselves in Steven's flawed moments, talk about their childhoods, and recognize Pearl as a mom. The concept of failing forward is introduced and they are momentarily healed by witnessing Steven learn from his mistakes.
