    Role models - do you have one?

    It seems like in this age, gaining access to people's stories is easier than ever - some of those people we may even begin to idolise.

    Today we decided to talk about one role model in for people on the spectrum.
    James Cody is an Autistic Engineer from the UK who works at The Atomic Weapons Establishment (AWE - they work on the Trident - uk's Nukes!)

    We talk about an article in published on the Institute of mathematic's website - where he details his life and some interesting insights into how being on the spectrum may have really helped him in his career!

  • Neurodivergent women recruited into Defense Companies?

    Here we dip our toes a little bit into the topic of neurodivergent women in the workplace - starting with an article which details how some UK companies are seeking to hire them

  • Becoming a Self Advocate

    Unfortunately, we live in a world where we have to stand up for yourself when other's won't. 

    This is even-more prevalent for those with a disability, especially a visible one, this is even more the case.

    Here we talk about an article which researches more issues like this and what actions our community should take to become a 'self-advocate'.

    Doctor, engineer, chemist - these are all jobs that are often sort after by young people today. However,  soon we quickly realise the daunting journey to even attain these roles. Which Universities should I be looking at? - and - what even is the BMAT?  

    And that is not an uncommon feeling, because let's be honest - Science is really hard

    So... how do we make it easy?
