 The most effective prayers in virtually every religion and spiritual practice throughout history follow the same pattern. Rev. Bill Marchiony and Carol L. Each weekly episode digs into the topic from a fresh angle, providing insight on the ways that our beliefs, our upbringing, our education and our society come together to make our lives the way they are. Rev. Bill Marchiony, DD is an ordained Minister of Religious Science, Spiritual Director of New Thought Philadelphia, and author of “Practical Prayer for Real Results”. He has been studying and teaching these powerful principles since the 1990s. Before that, he was a zany morning radio air personality, which makes this podcast fun to listen to.

Carol L Lawrence is an author, Spiritual Life Consultant, inspirational speaker who has spent 30+ years in church leadership, spirituality and biblical studies, and seminary education. Having pastored churches across denominations and racial diversity has given her a respect for a broad and inclusive theological perspective. She’s also the host of the “Jazz Divine” podcast, a unique worship/meditation experience with Smooth Jazz.

Together, this unlikely duo explores the transformation that is possible when these powerful New Thought teachings are added to a more traditional religious framework.

    Carol has noticed that some people are intentionally avoiding news of the world around them to avoid the disturbance and distress that can accompany it. She and Rev. Bill agree that it's important to maintain an awareness, while not being consumed by it. Together they agree on the importance of the mantra, "I know nothing... now what can I know?"

    The pandemic lockdown was five years ago, and Carol recalls that when everything stopped people were talking about getting back to a new normal. Now, it seems that the religious or spiritual lives of many have not resumed. Rev. Bill observes that when we're faced with a new challenge we can respond in a new way, or try to keep doing what we've always done.
