It's been a long time! Almost as long as the 18 inning ALDS game 3 marathon... Regardless, DH the Marinerd is back with a recap of the Mariners season that was and the overall postseason experience in Seattle. Revenge will look and sound a little different going forward, but no more screwing around because I am here for the long haul. 17 weeks until pitchers and catchers report.

The Mariners leave Minnesota with a series split as they head into Chicago for a three game set against the White Sox. This will be a tough stretch of games against last season division winners, but a good way to gauge how the team will fare against top notch talent in the American League.

The Mariners are the good guys in this one, and the Marinerd wouldn't be surpised if it ended in a series sweep against the bad guys. Just saying...

The day has finally arrived for the Mariners to officially begin the march towards playoff baseball in Seattle! This team is after much more than just playoff baseball. They're going for the crown and it will be fun to watch all season long. Although I'm disappointed that I was not able to personally witness the beginning on March 31st at T-Mobile Park, I am happy nonetheless that it starts today in Minnesota.

I recap my trip to Seattle in this episode and discuss the opening series against the Twinkies. M's must go for at least a series split on the road before tough matchups in Chicago for a 3 game set and at home for another 3 against Houston. The clock is ticking, so let's get that revenge!

The Mariners made a huge free agent signing beforehand so at least there's some hope that reinforcements in the form of the reigning AL Cy Young award winner are at the ready when the season restarts. When that will be exactly is anyone's guess. I have mine and I can only hope that the Mariners' revenge won't be delayed in 2022.

The Hot Stove is lit and the Mariners appear to be right in the middle of the action. Before I get into any of that, I give my take on some of the latest news to hit Mariner Nation, such as the AL Manager of the Year robbery, Ichiro's induction into the Mariners Hall of Fame, and Alex Rodriguez's debut on the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot.

The last half of this episode is dedicated to some trade activity with the San Diego Padres and the action on the Hot Stove. Don't you think it wants to be known as the Beautiful and Intelligent Stove for once?

The offseason is in full swing and the window of opportunity is open for the Mariners. For Jerry DiPoto, this must feel like a must-win situation in the sense that he must "win" the offseason. Does that mean breaking the bank for every superstar you can find? Not exactly. Jerry's shopping list requires flexibility and maybe even visiting the dollar store, but a solution can be reached if approached with a must win mentality.

The pieces are in place to carry the M's but they are going to need some help if they are going to go all the way. This episode will cover what the organization will need to do in order to field a consistent contender. If I were to have my way and get these guys, there would be no stopping the Mariners in 2022 and beyond.
