Meet Ed , A Story of Transformation and Leadership

Ed came to us about four years ago, just looking for a new start. He committed to his recovery, put in the work, and quickly began to shine. He was promoted to House Manager, and today, he serves as our Chief Operating Officer, overseeing six sober houses and caring for the men walking the same path he once walked.

Ed is coming up on four years clean and sober—a powerful milestone. He often says he never thought this kind of life was possible for him. But today, not only is he sober, he’s a leader, a mentor, and a man his mother is incredibly proud of.

He’s grateful for every part of this journey—especially the fact that his mom gets to see him thriving, sober, and building a career in helping others do the same.

Change is possible. Ed is proof.

Today, we shine a light on an extraordinary woman doing tremendous work in her community — Honda. In a world where too many children are left behind, Honda stepped up. She made a promise to her community — that there would be a place where these children, the ones whose parents couldn’t be there, could find safety, love, and a home.

Many years later, that promise is now a reality.

Honda’s Place isn’t just a building — it’s a sanctuary. A home. A second chance for so many young lives. With the support of her community and the strength of her vision, Honda built something beautiful — but let’s be clear: nothing like this happens without a leader. And Honda is just that.

Today, we hear her story. What inspired her. What broke her heart. What keeps her going. And how one woman’s promise became a legacy of hope.
